Working together to better plan and implement programs that address the health needs of our community.

Mission

The Milwaukee Health Care Partnership is a public / private partnership dedicated to improving health care for underserved populations in Milwaukee County. The Partnership includes Milwaukee’s five healthcare systems, four Federally Qualified Health Centers, the Medical College of Wisconsin and the City, County and State health departments. These organizations have committed their leadership as well as financial and in kind resources to support the implementation of a community wide plan that will improve health outcomes, reduce health disparities and reduce the total cost of care, by focusing on three priority areas:

  • Coverage – Ensuring adequate and affordable health insurance coverage for all; especially low-income and vulnerable populations
  • Access – Enhancing access to primary, specialty, dental and behavioral health services as well as affordable medications
  • Care Coordination – Improving the management of care across the delivery network including within emergency departments to primary care medical homes
